SAN FRANCISCO, CA (WCMH) — Police in California came to the rescue of a sea lion cub that was found alone and shivering near a highway.
According to the San Francisco Police Department, officers were called to Ocean Beach on the report that a sea lion pup was near the roadway.
Officers arrived and found the animal all alone and stranded.
The pup was shivering, tired and continued to try to warm itself near the officers.
The officers named the marine mammal “George Bison” and stayed with it until rescue experts arrived.
