CINCINNATI (WLWT/WCMH) – Police in Ohio have arrested a suspect accused of stealing a car with three young children inside.

The Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office identified the suspect as Howard Mullis, 33, of Cleves. He was found at about 6pm Saturday.

Police said Mullis stole the SUV from the Pit Stop at the corner of Pippin and Galbraith in Colerain Township at about 2pm. The childrens’ father was inside the store at the time, police say. A statewide Amber Alert was issued.

The vehicle was found at a Walmart parking lot at about 5pm. All three children, between 1 and 4 years old, were found safe.Click here for more.
