COLUMBUS (WCMH) — More than 1,600 customers’ power has been restored nearly 8 hours after a crash took out a pole Sunday night.

It happened around 9:30pm Sunday on Oakland Park near the intersection of Kenlawn Street.

According to Columbus police, a car hit a pole, causing wires to come down on the road.

An outage map from AEP Ohio showed more 1,625 customers without power in the area overnight. Electricity was restored around 5:30am, according to AEP.
