DODGE COUNTY, MN (KIMT) – A Minnesota pre-teen is accused of stealing a concrete mixer and leading police on an hour-long chase Sunday afternoon.

It happened around 3 p.m. Sunday in Dodge County, Minnesota.

Dodge County Sheriff Scott Rose said the chase went up and down several county roads and reached speeds of up to 71 miles per hour before ending on the streets of Dodge Center.

Deputies used stop-sticks to slow the truck, but deflated tires didn’t stop the truck right away. Authorities said the truck traveled for several miles without a tire, which caused heavy damage to street surfaces.

Sheriff Rose said two law enforcement vehicles were damaged by the truck. No injuries were reported.

The Minnesota State Patrol, Dodge County Sheriff’s Office, and police from Kasson and Dodge Center were involved in the pursuit.

Neighbors told KIMT-TV the driver is just 11-years-old.

The driver is being held in the Juvenile Detention Center in Rochester.  Formal charges are expected to be filed Monday. What others are clicking on:
