ANN ARBOR, MI (WOOD) – It looks like Michigan quarterback Wilton Speight is out for the rest of the regular season.
Citing sources, ESPN is reporting that Speight will not play in this weekend’s match up against Indiana.
Michigan football blog MGoBlog has reported, citing sources, that Speight has a broken collarbone.
Head coach Jim Harbaugh refused to say exactly what the injury was during today’s news regular team news conference and instead called Speight a game-time decision for Saturday’s game against Indiana.
“It’s going to depend on how he feels,” Harbaugh said. “Could be a [game-time decision]. We will know based on what the doctors say and how Wilton’s feeling.”
Backup quarterback John O’Korn has completed 13 of 18 passes this season for 114 yards and has two touchdowns to his name, according to stats compiled by ESPN.
No. 4 Michigan is 9-1 following a loss to Iowa over the weekend. It’s during that game that Speight was reportedly injured.
The Wolverines travel to Columbus right after the Thanksgiving holiday to take on the second ranked Ohio State Buckeyes.
