DELAWARE COUNTY, OH (WCMH) – State Route 257 remains closed in Delaware County after a tree came crashing down, bringing two utility poles with it.

It happened Wednesday night on SR 257 between SR 37 and Mink Street Road near Ostrander.

Authorities estimated the tree was around 3.5 feet in diameter. On its way down, the tree hit power cables, took down two poles and struck a car.

No injuries were reported.

ODOT and AEP Ohio crews are on the scene making the necessary repairs.

ODOT says the road will be closed until the evening commute due to the amount of debris that needs to be cleaned up.
