ASHLAND, PA (WCMH)– A woman in Pennsylvania is being charged with animal cruelty after killed two roosters for waking her up.

According to WNEP, the two brother roosters were staples at the Pioneer Tunnel Coal Mine tourist attraction.

However, about a week ago, 21-year-old Jenna Caso was sleeping in a home when the roosters begin crowing just after 6am.  According to police, she shot the birds three times.

Court documents show that a witness approached Caso after she shot the roosters and asked ‘Why did you do that?’ Caso replied simply, ‘They woke me up.’  Then, she went back into her home.

Caso has been charged with misdemeanor animal cruelty and reckless endangerment.What others are clicking on:
