ROSS CO., Ohio (WCMH)–A Ross County jail inmate overdosed on suspected heroin and was revived with Narcan.
The jail was searched and suspected drugs were recovered, according to Ross County Sheriff’s Spokesman Lt. Mike Preston.
He said two other inmates could be charged with conveying drugs into the detention center hidden inside body cavities. The Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigation is analyzing the suspected drugs.
The inmate was revived by responding medics and transported to Adena Medical Hospital. He was returned the same day to the jail.
NBC4 is not naming the suspects or the victim until investigators decide who will be charged.
