COLUMBUS (WCMH) – Police say at least six gas station robberies in the Dublin and Hilliard areas overnight could be connected to the same suspect.

The first robbery happened at the BP station at 925 Hilliard Rome Road late Tuesday night. Police say a man approached the counter, laid a demand note on the counter and displayed a gun.

The man left the gas station with an undisclosed amount of money.

A short time later, the Thorton’s at 2333 North Wilson was robbed. Police believe the same suspect was responsible for that robbery.

Early Wednesday morning, a Turkey Hill gas station on Tuttle Crossing Blvd. and a Speedway near the corner of Sawmill Road and Tuller Pkwy. near Dublin were robbed.

According to Columbus police, the suspect approached the counter of the Speedway like he was going to buy a Gatorade. When the clerk walked behind the counter, the suspect passed a robbery note. Investigators say the suspect left the store after the clerk pressed a panic button.

The Franklin County Sheriff’s Office also suspects the same man robbed the BP at 4100 West Broad Street and the Speedway at 4555 West Broad Street.

The suspect is described as a white male in his 20s standing between 5’6″ and 5’7″ and weighing between 135 and 150 pounds. He has black hair, a beard and tattoos on his arms. He was last seen wearing a dark shirt and dark pants.

He was last seen driving a small four-door dark colored car, possibly a Honda Civic.
