LEE COUNTY, FL (WCMH) – Parents are furious after a school bus driver in Florida was seen watching videos on her cell phone while driving her route.

It allegedly happened on a Lee County School District bus near Fort Myers Florida.

Students told WFTX-TV the driver watches Game of Thrones regularly while driving.

“The kids are in the back talking about the fact she’s watching TV while driving, I mean, to me that’s insane,” parent Christian Holden told the station. Holden says his sixth grade daughter, Zoe, is now afraid to ride the bus.

“The light turned red and that she went right by it,” Zoe Holden said. “I was kinda like, oh god!”

After WFTX reached out to school officials, they said the driver has been removed from the route while they investigate.

A transportation official said drivers aren’t allowed to use cell phones unless it is an emergency. Even then, they are required to pull over.

Christian Holden added, “You’re driving, you know, a six-ton vehicle full of kids down the road at 50 mph and you’re going to watch Netflix?”
