COLUMBUS (WCMH)– Columbus Police are investigating after a shooting near Wedgewood Village early Wednesday morning that left two men dead.

Desmond Lemelle Webster, 35, and Julius Ledale Anderson, 22, have warrants out for their arrest on charges of aggravated murder. Two other suspects are still at large.

Police and medics were called to the 800 block of Wedgewood Drive just before 2:00am.

Police say the incident started as a targeted home invasion in a second floor apartment at the complex. The two suspects allegedly entered the home and took the victims hostage for close to 10 hours before opening fire.

Two men were shot during the invasion. Abdul Cadir Ali Yussef was pronounced dead at the scene. Mohamed Ali Mohamed was transported to Mount Carmel West in extremely critical condition, and pronounced dead later.

A woman who came to the shooting scene said she was a coworker of one of the men who was shot. She said she got a call from her boss telling her he had been shot and was in bad shape.

“Oh my God,” Gloria Brobst said. “I said, ‘I can’t believe it.’ She held her breath like, you know, ‘Gloria.’ I said, ‘What?’ She said-she paused for a long time, I said, ‘What’s wrong?’ and she said, ‘He’s not going to work for us no more.'”

A third person in the apartment complex was also shot during the incident. A bullet went through the floor of the apartment, hitting a woman in the apartment below.

That woman’s sister said the 25-year-old has lived at the apartment complex for about six months and that she was shot in the neck.

“My mom called me crying,” Whittney Tucker said. “And I fell out the bed, actually, getting out of the bed. And she told me that my little sister got shot.”

Police say she was taken to Mount Carmel West. She was originally transported in critical condition, but has been upgraded to stable condition.

A fourth victim was taken to Doctors West in stable condition. He is being treated for unknown injuries, but police say he was not shot.

A fifth victim was injured after jumping out of the window.

Police were looking for a stolen white Toyota Prius with the license plate GXX3650, but say they found a vehicle on fire in the 1600 block of Rosemont Avenue with the matching plates. Police continue to investigate.
