COLUMBUS, Ohio (WCMH) – Police say that a man charged with aggravated robbery was caught after taking selfies with a stolen cell phone.
The robbery happened on April 9 on Stonecastle Drive as the victim was walking home from a nearby grocery store.
According to court records, the victim was approached by 18-year-old Patrick Agee and another person. Agee, according to records, had a handgun and demanded the victim’s property.
The other suspect emptied the victim’s pockets, taking his wallet, cell phone and money.
The next day, police said Agee took several selfies with the victim’s phone. The selfies, according to police, showed a gun in his hands.
The victim was able to recover the photos after they were uploaded to the cloud.
Agee was arrested on Sunday and is expected to appear in court Monday morning.
