COLUMBUS (WCMH) — Residents of three apartments in west Columbus are looking for somewhere else to stay after an early morning fire.

It happened just before 1am Tuesday at the Aspen Place Apartments on Bramblewood Court.

Firefighters said the fire started in the kitchen of one of the apartments and spread through the walls into two other units. The fire was quickly put out by Columbus firefighters.

A man who lived in the apartment where the fire started told NBC4 he believes a faulty wire in a range hood is to blame. The official cause of the fire remains under investigation.

No injuries were reported. The Red Cross was called to assist the residents of the three damaged apartments.What others are clicking on:
