Sex crime being investigated at Ohio senior home

MIAMI TOWNSHIP, OH (WDTN) – The Miami Township Police were called to a senior home on a report of a sexual offense Tuesday.

Officers and detectives went to Laurel Wood Senior Living Center in the 3700 block of Summit Glenn Drive Tuesday before noon.

Police will only say they are investigating a possible sexual offense that involves a female resident and a “contract employee from outside the facility.” Police tell WDTN-TV they have identified a person of interest and evidence has been collected.

That evidence will be sent to the Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigation Crime Lab.

Time Warner Cable later released the following statement:

“We are working with police as they look into what happened, and we are conducting our own investigation. Due to the seriousness of the claim, the employee is suspended pending the outcome.” – Mike Pedelty, Time Warner Cable Spokesperson.

This case remains under investigation. What others are clicking on:
