COLUMBUS (WCMH) — Police are investigating a shooting in northeast Columbus that left a teen girl in critical condition.
According to the Columbus Division of Police, at about 6:46pm, Friday, officers were called to a residence in the 3600 block of Homestead Drive on the report of a shooting.
When officers arrived on scene, they found a 14-year-old girl suffering from a gunshot wound.
The teen victim was taken to an area hospital where she remains in critical condition.
Police say the girl was struck by a single gunshot that was fired inside the residence.
