COLUMBUS (WCMH) — The victim of a southeast side shooting has died.
According to Columbus Police, officers were dispatched to the area of East Columbus Street and Oakwood Avenue on the report of a shooting around 9:05pm Thursday. When officers arrived, they found Deshawn Marable, 27, suffering from a gunshot wound near the rear of 940 S. Champion Ave.
Marable was transported to Grant Medical Center with life-threatening injuries. He was pronounced dead at the hospital at 9:28pm.
Police do not have any suspect information or motive at this time.
