Speeding driver leads deputy on short high-speed chase

COLUMBUS (WCMH) — A speeding driver led Franklin County deputies on a high speed chase very early Sunday morning.

Deputies said the chase started on Interstate 70 west near East Livingston Avenue when a deputy attempted to pull over a speeding driver.


The suspect fled bumping the K-9 cruiser, and reaching speeds of more than 80 miles-per-hour.

The chase ended just over one mile away when the suspect bailed at Kimball Place and Cole Street.

The suspect was caught and arrested a short time later.
