BOTTROP, Germany (NBC) – The latest internet star in Germany is an exhausted squirrel.

German police released video of the squirrel on Wednesday. They say a woman thought the squirrel was stalking her and attacked it.

The woman called the police before she went after the critter.

Police said they captured the squirrel and are feeding it apples and honey, as it is suffering from exhaustion.

“A very unusual distress call, this morning,” they wrote. “A squirrel pursued a young woman at Oak Street. The officials found: that’s right! They took the pursuer in custody and brought him to the police station.”
