COLUMBUS (WCMH) — A man who police say barricaded himself inside a west Columbus home has come out of the house.

Police were called to a home on Columbian Ave at Sullivant Ave just after 9:30am this morning for a domestic violence situation. A home healthcare aide made it out of the home safely, but a man, armed with a weapon, refused to come out.

Columbus police say the man was preventing an elderly man from exiting the home.

SWAT officers, patrol officers, and hostage negotiators worked to resolve the situation for a few hours.

Police arrested 24-year-old Ronald E. Robertson. He is being held on charges of felon in possession of a firearm and aggravated robbery.Keep checking NBC4i.com for real-time updates on this story.
