COLUMBUS (WCMH) — The Granville Post of the State Highway Patrol say they are investigating a fatal crash that happened around 3:20 pm Monday.
The crash occurred on State Route 79, west of Millersport Road in Union Township.
The first driver, 18-year-old Christian M. Ruda, was allegedly distracted and crossed the center line. This is when he hit 70-year-old Robert F. Burdette head on.
Burdette was transported to the Fairfield Medical Center for minor injuries. Ruda was pronounced dead at the scene.
The crash is still under investigation.
