Two people dead after southwest Columbus shooting

COLUMBUS, Ohio (WCMH) — Two people are dead after a Sunday afternoon shooting in southwest Columbus.


A police dispatcher said that officers went to the 1100 block of Parma Avenue in the Hilltop neighborhood after reports of a shooting at 2 p.m. At the scene, officers found two people who were shot. One victim, an adult female, was pronounced dead at 2:07 p.m. while another, an adult male, was taken to a nearby hospital in critical condition and pronounced dead at 2:56 p.m.

Columbus police are investigating the incident as a murder-suicide that may have been motivated by domestic violence. The victims’ identities are not being made public yet as autopsy results are pending.
