Stephen Curry is making things right after a young fan asked why his Under Armour shoes aren’t made in girl’s sizes.
The 9-year-old girl from Napa who shares the same name as his daughter, Riley, wrote a letter to Curry.
“I was disappointed to see that there were no Curry 5’s for sale under the girls section,” Riley wrote. “I know you support girl athletes because you have two daughters and you host an all girls basketball camp.”
She ended the letter saying she’s hopeful that Curry can work with Under Armour to change this “because girls want to rock the Curry 5’s too.”
And Steph did just that.
He responded with his own letter saying that he’s spent the last two days working to fix the issue.
“We are correcting this now!” Curry writes. “I want to make sure you can wear my kicks proudly.”
Not only is he making the shoes available for all girls, he’s also going to do something special for Riley.
She’ll be one of the first kids to get the Curry 6 and she’ll be joining him in Oakland on March 8th to celebrate International Women’s Day.
