Storms leave behind power outages in central Ohio

COLUMBUS, Ohio (WCMH) – Storms that swept through the area early Tuesday morning left behind a handful of power outages in Central Ohio.

AEP Ohio reports that more than 2,000 customers were without power in Franklin County as of 5 a.m.


According to Marion police, Ohio Edison customers are without power in downtown Marion and surrounding neighborhoods.

Due to this outage, traffic lights are not functioning in the affected areas. These areas include Main St./State St. and Prospect St. from George St. to Delaware Ave. in the North/South Direction and Center St. and Church St. from Vine St. to Oak St. in the east/west direction.

Traffic lights on Delaware Ave. at the Walnut St. and Washington St. intersections are also not currently working.
