OKLAHOMA CITY, OK (WCMH) – Folks in the checkout line at an Oklahoma grocery store got a nice surprise yesterday. Total strangers paid for their groceries.

The group says they came together in the spirit of good will, footing the bill for more than a dozen people.

One of the men, Matthew Danuser, says they started raising money in July. “It was a blessing that’s exactly what I wanted to happen and it turned out perfect,” Danuse told KOCO.

One woman was celebrating her birthday when she came upon the unexpected gift.

“She was low on cash so when we did pay her bills it was a big deal for her,” said Danuse.

The men say they are planning another grocery store visit in the future.
