COLUMBUS (WCMH) – A study released this week says that Ohio has some of the worst drivers in the country.
The study was released Thursday by auto insurance comparison service Quote Wizard.
Using data from users of their website and Federal Highway Administration data, the company ranked the states based on a measure of total accidents, speeding tickets, DUIs, citations, and fatalities.
The company says Ohio drivers get a large number of speeding tickets and are ranked seventh for worst speeding offenders nationwide. Ohio also has a large number of fatal crashes.
Utah and California topped the list of worst drivers. Drivers in Rhode Island and Florida were considered the best.
