COLUMBUS, Ohio (WCMH) – Prosecutors are asking that the teenager who is accused of killing four people Saturday, be tried as an adult.

Jordyn D. Wade’s criminal past started at 12-years-old and includes burglary, arson and drug possession. Monday however, he faced four counts of murder, and five counts of kidnapping after being accused of killing four people on East Hudson Street Saturday morning.  Prosecutors said Wade, now 16, should be tried as an adult.

Wade’s attorney, Eric Hoffman, said he talked to Wade’s mother earlier Monday morning. “He’s had some problems and things that have happened to him over the years. He’s still young and he’s got a future ahead of him, and so his mother is doing her best. I think she’s a single parent,” said Hoffman.

According to court documents, Wade allegedly held the victims at gunpoint and made them go to the basement of the residence.

Police have identified the victims as Angela D. Harrison, 35; Tyajah Nelson, 18; Daniel Sharp, 36; and Michael Ballour, 41. Officials have not released any information about a second suspect, described as a black male, believed to be involved in the case.

The motion to bind over was made by prosecutors and a probable cause hearing has been scheduled for July 17.
