CIRCLEVILLE, OH (WCMH) — A 17-year-old boy was arrested over the weekend after allegedly throwing a woman to the ground during a robbery near a gas station ATM.
According to the Pickaway County Sheriff’s Office, it happened around 5pm Friday at the Logan Elm Marathon on U.S. Route 23.
Investigators said a 52-year-old woman had just received cash from an ATM when she was grabbed from behind and threw her to the ground. The suspect grabbed $280 from her and ran from the store.
The victim complained of a sore hip, but was not treated for any injuries at the time.
A short time later, investigators identified a 17-year-old boy as the suspect. He was arrested while hiding in the basement of a home on Walnut Street in Circleville.
The teen was charged with felony robbery and taken to the Juvenile Detention Center in Lancaster.
