PLEASANT TWP, Ohio (WCMH) — The Franklin County Sheriff’s Office says a Saturday night crash claimed the life of a 17-year-old.
The sheriff’s office said a Honda Civic driven by 18-year-old Weston Baker lost control and struck a utility pole on Beatty Road west of U.S. 62 just outside of Grove City.
Derrick Norwood, the 17-year-old passenger, was pronounced dead at a local hospital. Baker was not injured.
It is unclear if alcohol or drugs were involved.
