COLUMBUS (WCMH) – A 15-year-old boy was hospitalized in critical condition after a robbery led to a shooting along Eakin Road.
It happened around 1:15am on Eakin Road near Weyant Avenue in Columbus.
According to Columbus police robbery detectives, two juveniles were walking down the street when they were approached by a man. The man then demanded property from one of the teens.
The teen was then shot in the groin after giving the man what he wanted, according to police.
The victim was taken to Mount Carmel West Hospital in critical condition and later upgraded to stable condition.
Police did not specify what was taken from the victim.
