COLUMBUS (WCMH)– Port Columbus International Airport experienced no cancellations or delays due to the attacks in Belgium, but it remained on travelers’ minds.
Derek Brown used to live in Luxembourg and knows Brussels well.
“I’ve been to Brussels several times. Where one of the bombs went off, it’s a five minute walk from the hotel I’ve stayed in, so I know where it’s at,” he said.
But the attacks won’t keep Brown from traveling.
“Does it make me afraid to fly? No. We fly all the time and I think it’s important for people to get out and explore the world,” Brown said.
Alistair Hatting is flying to Argentina and says the attacks don’t surprise him. “In some ways, I was expecting something to happen because, some kind of cell there.”
