COLUMBUS (WCMH) — The Andersons has announced the closure of all of its retail locations, including two right here in central Ohio.

The retailer has two retail locations in Columbus and two in Toledo. The two locations in Columbus are located in the 5800 block of Alshire Rd. and the 7000 block of Bent Tree Blvd.

The announcement was made on Facebook on Sunday.

“This was a difficult decision, and we will be working with our employees and our customers to ease the transition. We are grateful for our hard-working and dedicated employees and for our loyal customers who have supported us all these years,” the social media posting stated. “Thank you for everything you’ve done to make The Andersons a valued part of the Toledo and Columbus communities.”

The news comes just weeks after several major retailers also announced the closure of stores in the Columbus area, including Macy’s, The Limited and Sears.
