GUERNSEY CO., OH (WCMH)– A simple request that changed the life of an 11-year-old girl has touched the heart of thousands around the world.
Brian Nhira is a contestant on this season’s “The Voice” but he recently took time to sing a special song to Hehe Cazzell of Guernsey County.
Nhira sang “Jesus Love Me” to Hehe in video posted to his Facebook page.
“Having a kid with special needs, I think people don’t realize that she’s a person too. She’s often overlooked or people questioning why she is doing this; why she’s not talking,” said Hehe’s mother Amanda.
Health conditions have made the Hehe non-verbal; her hearing is mostly OK but she communicates by sign language. Her family said songs play an important part in her development and communication, so this message holds a really special place in their family.
“That one request that you made Amanda really set into motion something that was so much bigger than just me and even bigger than you even think that’s what it’s all about,” Nhira said.
