PICKERINGTON, Ohio (WCMH) — The owner of Pickerington Dairy Queen says a crook made off with an irreplaceable piece of his business, and he wants it back.
It’s been six weeks since ice cream topping of Mike Todd’s vanilla cone entrance sign was nabbed in the night.
This week, he took to social media looking for tips, inspiring hashtags like “#BringBackConey2016” and “#DQconetopcomehome.”
Todd says the sign isn’t made anymore and replacing it would cost thousands of dollars.
“If we’re spending time and money replacing a sign, that’s time and money we’re not spending on making other improvements to the business and hiring new people,” said Todd.
Todd says the ice-cream shop received a tip that the theft was part of a scavenger hunt. If someone helps catch the thief, Todd is offering an ice cream reward.What others are clicking on:
