COLUMBUS (WCMH) — If you grew up in the 80s and 90s, The Power Rangers were most likely a big part of your childhood.

Now, some 23 years after the original show aired on TV, fans are getting the video game they’ve always hoped for.

Bandai Namco announced on Facebook it is making “Saban’s Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: Mega Battle” for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. There are also reports there will be a version for the PC.

The game features “classic beat-em-up gameplay” that follow the first two seasons of the show. Yes, that means you’ll battle against Rita and Zed and all the minions they send to try to conquer planet Earth.

The game appears to work a bit like Contra or Golden Axe with a side-scrolling gameplay. You’ll pick your favorite ranger and battle through waves of enemies, powering up as you go along. You’ll even get to battle in Megazords.

And yes, there will be multiplayer. And yes, there will be lots of co-op play.

“Saban’s Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: Mega Battle” will hit store shelves in January 2017.
