COLUMBUS (WCMH) — With winds topping 50 MPH in parts of Central Ohio, there was no shortage of damage in the area.
In Bexley, more than 320 homes were left without power after a large tree damaged power lines after it had split off and heavily damaged a garage. For one Bexley mother, the damage was just a few feet away.
“We were just pulling in our garage today and as soon as we got in the garage,” says Dana Williams, who was with her two-year-old daughter at the time. “The car was maybe five or six feet from where the tree fell, so we were lucky the tree fell the way it did and not toward us.”
Damage was also done in Clintonville, leaving residents without power for a few hours on Tuesday evening.
No injuries were reported.
