Ohio State Highway Patrol troopers from the Mount Gilead post said Peggy D. Jenkins, of Fredericktown, was pronounced dead at the scene of the two-car crash on State Route 314 near milepost 9 in Chester Township, Morrow County.

At about 7:53am Saturday, a northbound Chevrolet Silverado driven by a 17-year-old boy went left of center and struck the Honda Accord Jenkins was driving, according to troopers.

Seatbelts were in use by both drivers. Alcohol or drug usage is unknown at this time.

The crash remains under investigation by the Mount Gilead Patrol Post.
