COLUMBUS, OH (WCMH) – Republican presidential nominee Donald J. Trump kept his promise and participated in a Reddit AMA (ask me anything) before a campaign stop in Toledo, Ohio, on Wednesday.

Trump answered a total of 13 questions, keeping his answers to outlines of his policy proposals and short phrases, like his favorite U.S. Presidents. The rest of the session focused on what Trump sees as the shortcomings of Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton.

The smoothness of Trump’s AMA session stands out from the number of AMA sessions that can go off track. Part of the reason for this is that the Trump AMA appeared on The_Donald subreddit, which is moderated by unpaid moderators and is not affiliated with any political campaign. Most AMAs appear on the dedicated AMA subreddit. Not only did this give Trump built-in support, but it also allowed the thread’s moderators to screen the questions the candidate received.

The media information page for the session stated that the moderators would be removing questions, including those from new accounts, adding that it was a “point of pride” to have a large number of removed comments and questions.

Trump, who is known for using Twitter to promote his campaign messages, expressed his concerns about the honesty of the press when responding to a question about the media. “I think new media is a great way to get out the truth,” he wrote. What others are clicking on:
