COLUMBUS (WCMH) – The Franklin County Sheriff’s Office says two people are under arrest after a narcotics search warrant execution in the 500 block of South Richardson Avenue in Columbus.
The search warrant was executed in connection to a non-fatal overdose on Interstate-270 in southwest Franklin County, on June 3.
Deputies arrested and charged Shaunell McKnight, 31 with drug possession and corrupting another with drugs; and Brandon Shipley, 25 with felony drug possession for their involvement in the overdose.


Over and ounce of heroin, four firearms, an ounce of crack cocaine and approximately $10,000 were seized during the search.
Other arrested in connection with the opiate overdoses in Franklin County include Adrian Jones, Paris Hatton, Anthony Reitan, Corey Leggett and Jon Jones on charges of involuntary manslaughter, corrupting another with drugs and/or drug trafficking.

The Franklin County Sheriff’s Office currently has warrants out for several other individuals including Meghan Welch (DOB: 12/14/1989) (Tampering with Evidence F-3), Everth Perez (DOB: Undocumented) (Corrupting another with Drugs F-2), Lindsay Newkirk (DOB: 03/22/1989) (Involuntary Manslaughter F-1).
