LUMBERTON, N.C (WBTW) – A 7-year-old boy is dead and his brother is recovering at home following a pit bull attack in Robeson County, North Carolina.
Deputies say 7-year-old Talen West and his 8-year-old brother were attacked by a pit bull while walking down the street. Deputies say the call came in around 11:30am Sunday morning.
Sealey said when they arrived, the younger brother was unresponsive, and his brother had been injured in his lower body in the attack by the dog. Both children were taken to Southeastern Medical Center Emergency Department where West was pronounced dead.
