(NBC) — On Friday’s all-new two-hour “Dateline” episode, a family discovers the remains of their missing loved one, Gary Farris, on their estate, which leads the investigation to uncover a family divided by jealousy and greed.
Here is a preview of Keith Morrison’s report:
There’s an old expression: “No secrets in a murder investigation” — at least, not for long. Gary Farris was a prominent Atlanta attorney. “Big Daddy” the family called him. If someone needed a loan, or more likely a gift, Gary was there with a swipe from a credit card and now just like that, this family Santa Claus was gone.
ASHLEY POPE: In some shape or form, Gary had close ties or disagreements with all the family members relating to money.
KEITH MORRISON: It’s almost like an Agatha Christie story. You’ve got a confined space, and all those people are warring amongst themselves. And the man who controls the money is suddenly dead.
MEAGHAN FRANKISH: Right, that’s exactly right.
Crazy, scary things, secrets, aren’t they?
“Dateline: A Little Patch of Perfect” airs Friday at 9 p.m. on NBC4.
