Plane crash-lands, bursts into flames on California freeway
LOS ANGELES (WCMH) – A pilot was not injured when he crash-landed a plane on a Los Angeles area freeway Tuesday afternoon.
It happened on the 101 Freeway in Agoura Hills, according to the LA County Fire Department.
NBC Los Angeles reported the plane burst into flames after the crash landing. One of the wings was draped over the center divider.
The plane had German WWII-era markings. Many on Twitter speculated that it could be a Focke-Wulf FW-190, or an American T-6 Texan painted to look like a German plane.
