ROBERTSVILLE, OH (WCMH) — A woman’s life may have been saved by a UPS driver who arrived to pick up a package at her home.

According to KMOV, the woman told police that James Jordan, 33, had held her captive while physically and sexually abusing her.

Deputies said the man also locked the couple’s 3-year-old son in his room for 15 hours without food or water.

“She was not given her phone, so she had no way to contact the sheriff’s office for help,” Sgt. T.J. Wild with the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office told KMOV.

According to deputies, Jordan assaulted the woman from Monday night and into Tuesday morning, but then a UPS driver arrived to pick up a package.

When the driver picked up the package, he found a note from the woman reading, “Contact 911.” That’s exactly what the UPS driver did, and deputies arrived shortly thereafter.

“He made a huge difference,” said Wild.

Jordan has been charged with domestic assault, sodomy, felonious restraint, unlawful use of a weapon, and endangering the welfare of a child.

The UPS driver however, is being called a hero for ending a woman’s nightmare.
