COLUMBUS (WCMH) — Customers with Verizon are reporting the throughout central Ohio has been restored.

According to downdector.com, Columbus joined, Washington D.C., Philadelphia and New York as having some of the largest outages in the country.

A manager at a local Verizon store told NBC4’s Candice Lee that the outage was part of a scheduled software update.
