COLUMBUS (WCMH/AP) – Gov. Mike Pence is making a campaign stop in Columbus Monday.
According to Donald Trump’s event schedule, Pence will make a stop at the Greater Columbus Convention Center at 3pm. He also made a stop in Mason, Ohio earlier in the day.
Pence’s visit comes as Donald Trump’s top supporters are racing to explain that what Trump said or tweeted isn’t what he meant – especially on his claim without evidence that the Nov. 8 presidential election is “rigged” in Democrat Hillary Clinton’s favor.
Pence said Sunday they’ll “absolutely accept the results of the election.” But Trump is continuing to warn, without evidence, about vote fraud.
The Republican candidate for president tweeted: “The election is absolutely being rigged by the dishonest and distorted media pushing Crooked Hillary – but also at many polling places – SAD.”
Pence said Trump’s claims of a rigged election refer to media bias.NBC4 will carry Pence’s event live nbc4i.com and on the official NBC4 Facebook Page.
