COLUMBUS (WCMH)– Columbus Police are investigating after a shooting late Sunday night in north Columbus.

According to the Columbus Division of Police, at about 11:35pm, Sunday, officers were called to the 100 block of E. 11th Avenue on the report of shots fired and people yelling someone had been shot.

When officers arrived on scene, they found Mohamed Abidraman Mead, 33, suffering from a gunshot wound.

Mead was taken to the Ohio State University Wexner Medical center in serious condition. Police say that Mead succumbed to his injuries on July 18, and passed away at the hospital.
