STOWE TOWNSHIP, PA (WCMH) — The scary video shows the police car just missing a group of teenagers as it crashed during a pursuit.

“All I saw was the access van hit the police car. It spun, hit the pole, spun the other way and it was just crazy. And then there was a bunch of kids that ran that way because they were on the sidewalk there. I’m, like, oh my God, and then it just got crazy after that,” one witness told KDKA.

In the surveillance video, the group of children is standing on the sidewalk when the police cruiser nearly slams into them.

According to the Stowe Township Police Department, the officer was chasing a stolen vehicle when it was hit by a van in an intersection, causing it to spin out of control.

“I’m still shaken up, because you see that in the movies, not in real life, you know? So, it was kind of scary, but everyone seemed fine besides the officer. He was shaken up. I’m sure he went to the hospital, but very scary,” Candice Sabo, who witnessed the incident told KDKA.

After missing the children, the cruiser hit a nearby parked minivan. None of the children were hurt, but the officer did suffer minor injuries. The driver of the stolen vehicle was able to get away.
