KAIGA, India (NBC News) — The uncanny incident of the cobra drinking from a bottle was caught on camera.

In a drought-hit village in southwestern India over the weekend, a cobra emerged from hiding in search of water.

To quench its thirst the snake was offered water in a plastic bottle by a local villager. The snake can be seen in the video drinking the water as it warily keeps its eyes on the villagers.
