TULSA, OK (WCMH) — An employee at an Oklahoma Enterprise Rent-A-Car is getting big props on social media for his simple act of kindness.

Coty Vincent came to the Enterprise location in Tulsa after a hit-and-run wreck. She was there alone with her twin sons in the backseat.

Employee John Goodlett immediately jumped in to help.

“Him seeing that I was a twin mom in need of an extra set of hands, it definitely was a message from God,” Vincent told NBC affiliate KJRH-TV.

Goodlett, who is a twin himself, immediately offered to hold one of the twin baby boys. While the 11-month-old looked up at him, he went right to work to to put her in a working vehicle.

“I’m going to do this out of the kindness of my heart because you need somebody to pack this other kid for you,” Goodlett said. “And you can’t pack them both in two hands inside Enterprise.”

Goodlett says loving his job helping others comes natural to him, so he doesn’t see the big fuss over the photo Vincent took and posted to social media. That photo, showing him helping, quickly went viral on Facebook.

“I think that this world would be a better place if we all would just be a John,” Vincent said. “And we have to be that change that we want to see. We want to see more people like John, well it starts with us.”

Goodlett’s company took notice as well and offered him what he calls the the greatest reward.

“The reward was to give back to the first sports program I got to play for as a kid,” Goodlett said, saying the company made a donation to a local Boys and Girls Club in his name.

As far as all the attention he’s getting?

“I say we take this and do the best we can to keep motivating people,” Goodlett told KJRH-TV.
