MADISON HEIGHTS, Va. (WCMH)–A man accused of carrying a chemical-laced bag of bacon and a gun onto his neighbor’s property was sentenced Wednesday in Amherst County court.
The Richmond Times-Dispatch reports 31-year-old Evan Cater pleaded guilty to trespassing and carrying a gun while intoxicated.
In October 2015, Cater was found hiding behind a dog kennel on his neighbor’s property, drunk and carrying a gun.
The neighbor reportedly called the sheriff. Deputies say they found Cater lying face down in the woods, wearing a camouflage shirt and hunting mask. Cater reportedly had a semi-automatic handgun and a bag of raw bacon with an oily substance all over it.
WSET-TV reports that the bacon was covered in a substance often used in paint thinner. The neighbor’s dogs were not harmed.What others are clicking on:
