COLUMBUS (WCMH) — The deadline to register for the November election is Tuesday.
Several races will likely be decided on November 8, including the race for president.
According to elections officials, the battle between Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump is resulting in more voters registering.
“We have about 833,000 registered voters here in Franklin County,” said David Payne, Deputy Director of the Franklin County Board of Election. “Since the primary, we’ve had about 63,000 new registrants and I would say for a presidential year, that’s pretty on par, so we’re running at about what we think we’d like to see.”
The Board of Elections, located at 1700 Morse Road, will be open from 8 a.m. until 9 p.m., on Tuesday.
New registrants are required to present a valid driver’s license, or the last for digits of their social security number.
Early voting begins on Wednesday.
